Thesis: Although many people believe that biometrics are a desirable method to ensure security, it is a technology that this too new and full of flaws that have yet to be worked out. Biometrics require an incredible amount of database space, are prime targets to malevolent organizations and hackers, and can be used to invade privacy.

- My position is that biometrics should not be used.
- Three points to support my position include, biometrics require large amounts of space in a data base, they attract nefarious people, and can be used to invade privacy.
- Three points against by position include they have been used to catch criminals since 1891, they are the only form of identification that ensures it’s really that person, and provide a high level of security.

- Refutation: Biometrics do not provide a high level of security as they are not flawless and many times do not recognize the person and it is easy to to abuse them, leaving a massive whole in security.
